Drone Zone / Zone de Drone – July / juillet 2024:

RPAS Traffic Management (RTM) Phase 2 Trials
Transport Canada, NAV CANADA, and the Trials Executive Steering Committee (TESC) is pleased to announce the successful applicants for Phase 2 of the RTM Trials:

Variable Pitch Inc. (Ontario) and 2 other vendors.

The first phase of RTM trials concluded in 2023 and provided important insights for advancing RTM in Canada. Over the next twelve months, the trials will further explore the requirements for RTM services for safe commercial operations in suburban environments, with a view to implementing beyond visual line-of-sight (BVLOS) drone regulations in the future.
